Banana Split @ Shakeys

Last Sunday was the birthday of one of my church mates in our small group. Every Sunday at 2, we usually gather at BonChon Chicken store at Market Market for our small group. But, at that time, she told us to gather at Shakeys instead. So, we headed to Shakeys and had pizza, spaghetti, and chicken for lunch and banana split for the dessert. We enjoyed the food. Also, we shared our travel stories. Some went to Dumaguete; others, Camarines Norte, and I went to Hundred Islands.

By the way, what' s a small group?

This is initiated by the church. Victory The Fort is the church where I go to every Sunday. They have small groups for all ages. Our group is for the single ladies from 26 - 35 year olds, if I'm not mistaken. There are groups for teens, for married couples, etc. If you are looking for a small group, please click this link: https://victoryplatform.everynation.org.ph/portal/group_finder.aspx

What do people do in a small group?

We talk about topical issues and what the Bible says about that. Our recently concluded topic was about dating. What does the Bible say about dating? What should be our attitude towards dating? These and other questions related to dating are discussed in the group. Now, our new topic is about being authentic. What is an authentic Christian?

What benefits do I get from joining small groups?

1. It provides a new circle of friends. You can find a new group of like-minded people.

2. I can study more about the Bible in relation to the present issues dealt every day.

3. My understanding of the Bible and my relationship with God are deepened.

4. I can learn new things about travel, jobs, and life lessons.

These are just a few of the benefits we can get from being involved. Last Sunday, the group was planning of going somewhere. No fixed plans yet, but everyone hopes it will happen the soonest.
